Custot Gallery Dubai is pleased to announce the opening of a group exhibition of photography from the 20th and 21st centuries. A central theme of the works on view is the presence of mankind. A truly global range of photographs, the exhibition explores humans’ interactions with their environment, as well as the impact and mark left behind. The image as a means of storytelling leads to an investigation of the spaces human beings inhabit and develop, bringing into question the agency of the people captured on film.
Rhona Bitners practice researches into the art of the performance, in which Man is the central actor. While the work of Jeanloup Seiff quite literally fabricates playful, never-before imagined realities.
