Pablo Reinoso transforms the restaurant at La Maison de l'Amérique Latine Paris

Maison de l'Amérique Latine, Paris

Pablo Reinoso was chosen by the directors of ‘La Maison de l’Amerique Latine’ in Paris, sponsored with Areas, to redesign the space on its ground floor, most notably the restaurant.

The artist has completely changed the restaurant with a combination of French classical style and Latin American architecture resulting in a fresh, contemporary interior. Pablo Reinoso’s artistic direction plays on colours and materials in reference to kinetic art, an artistic wave that developed in France and in Latin America whose principal artists are Latin-American.

The centre piece of the re-designs is Pablo Reinoso’s Soleil Saint-Germain, a symbolic sun connecting wood with steel that radiates from the centre of the restaurant, directing activity into the remaining rooms and the house.

The installation of Talking Bench in the garden of ‘La Maison de l’Amérique Latine’ will allow visitors to sit down whilst offering a privileged point of view of the ‘Hôtel de Varengeville’ constructed in the 18th century.
